As a child, Jiang Wanlin spent most of her time with her grandparents since her mother worked at a distant factory making clothing. Since her mother would often send denim clothes and pants to wear, Jiang sees denim as a reminder of parental love. Now, Jiang channels that emotional connection with the fabric to create artworks using recycled and donated jeans, which she cuts up and arranges to depict landscapes including trees and stones
