Entire criminal justice system 'failing' mentally ill people, inspectors find

Every part of the criminal justice system is 'failing' to meet the needs of the mentally ill, according to a major inspection.

The Crime Watchdogs report says 'thousands of people' with mental health issues in England and Wales are having their needs missed by police forces, prosecutors, prisons and probation services.
