Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov holds talks with his Belarusian counterpart Vladimir Makei in Moscow. Thousands of desperate migrants are trapped in freezing weather on the Belarus-Poland border, where the presence of troops from both sides has raised fears of a confrontation. Belarus's foreign minister accused the EU of "provoking" the migrant stand-off on its border with Poland and said Minsk is seeking a "joint reponse" to the crisis with Russia.
