China will continue to firmly support African countries in improving the capacity for home driven development based on the principles of openness, transparency, equality and mutual benefits, said Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin at a press briefing in Beijing on Monday, adding that no China-Africa cooperation project has been 'taken over' or 'confiscated' by China due to debt problems.

Wang made the statement in response to a question from Bloomberg on a local media report in Uganda that the country is seeking to amend a 2015 loan agreement with China to ensure its control of the nation's only international airport.
