B.C. floods: A long road ahead for rebuilding province but some highways now able to open | FULL

CA, 03 Dec 2021
B.C. looks to be at the end of the “intense storms” Public Safety Minister Mike Farnworth said Thursday at a media briefing.

“The worst weather seems to be behind us and I am grateful for that,” he added.

However, there is still much work to be done in the province.

Farnworth is reminding everyone to continue to obey road closures, abide by fuel rationing and do not travel for non-essential reasons as it could be a long time to rebuild parts of the province hardest hit.

“British Columbians have been through a lot and governments at all levels will be here during this difficult time,” Farnworth added.
