Authorities in California will be providing an update on Sunday about the mass shooting in Monterey Park that left 10 dead and 10 injured after Lunar New Year celebrations.

During an earlier update, Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna said authorities were now dealing with a "tactical incident that is occurring in the city of Torrance" as the shooting's suspect was still at-large.

Luna wouldn't confirm if the situation involved the suspect in the shooting, saying they did not know at that time.

Police have released a picture of a possible suspect in the shooting but weren't naming that individual at that time. Sheriff Luna called the shooting "one of the county's most heinous cases."

He also gave a preliminary description of the suspect, saying he had been described as a "male Asian." He cautioned that police have received several descriptions of the suspect.

It was the fifth mass killing in the U.S. this month.
