Ontario Premier Doug Ford is holding a press conference in Etobicoke on Tuesday and is expected to face questions about a controversial spa and waterpark that's set to take over a major portion of Ontario Place signed a 95-year lease with the province.

It came just after it was announced the Ontario Science Centre would be relocated to the event space.

Key new details are continuing to emerge about the government's controversial plans for the space. But despite repeated calls to publicly present both the contract with Therme Group - the company behind the spa and waterpark - and the decision to move the science centre, requests have been met with silence or rejections.

Ontario Place, which first opened in 1971, was closed to the public in 2012 after years of financial losses.
