Video captures the moment a lightning apparently struck Toronto's CN Tower early Wednesday (April 5) morning.

"The sky light up bright before it happened. And once it started hitting the CN tower, my microphone and tv stopped working", Twitter user Rajat Arora, who uploaded the video, wrote in a statement on the social media platform.

Canadian Press reported that about 800,000 people across Ontario and Quebec had lost power Wednesday as a combination of thunderstorms and freezing rain rolled through the two provinces.
