Westminster Abbey has been Britain's coronation church since 1066. Following in the footsteps of 39 monarchs before them, King Charles III and Queen Camilla will be crowned here on May 6.

Its transepts, together with the nave and the sanctuary, mean the Abbey is in the shape of a cross.

It has been over 70 years since it last hosted a coronation.
