The British Consular Support Centre has shifted from the heart of the conflict in the capital of Sudan to a new base in Port Sudan. Mass complaints of inaction have prompted the Foreign Office to advise British nationals to seek help at this location.

Sudanese citizens with foreign passports have a better chance of leaving, leaving those without feeling helpless. The situation has caused people to feel drained from the shock of violence and abrupt separation.

The quality of the waiting room and chances of evacuation vary depending on one's passport, making it a lottery for a better life.
