French President Emmanuel Macron is meeting China's leader She Jinping today in Beijing. A short while ago, She welcomed Macron in front of the Great Hall of the People - the seat of power in Beijing. It's Macron's first visit to China in three and half years. And while trade is a key issue, top of the agenda is the war in Ukraine with Western pressure mounting on Beijing (a key ally of Russia) to take a more active role in ending the conflict. Travelling with Macron is the European Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen. Earlier they were greeted by Xi at the Great Hall of the People. FRANCE 24's foreign editor Angela Diffley tells us more.
