A team of researchers at China’s Nankai University claim to have made a breakthrough by developing a way to allow a monkey to move an external robotic arm with signals from the animal’s brain. The team conducted its experiment on May 4, 2023 using what’s called an interventional brain-computer interface, or BCI.
