Chancellor Jeremy Hunt delays fiscal plans despite risk of political embarrassment

Jeremy Hunt has delayed the announcement of his economic plans to get the public finances back on track.
The mid-term fiscal plan, originally due to be published on Halloween, will now be unveiled on November 17 - and will be upgraded to a full Autumn Statement.
The Chancellor said he was willing to make "politically embarrassing" choices and insisted a "short two-and-a-half week delay" to his statement is the best course of action.
