China and the EU have been working on trade ties, with China being the EU's largest and the EU being China's second-largest trading partner. Despite global headwinds, including protectionism and unilateralism, the two sides are diligently seeking cooperation. Germany, one of the largest economies in the world and a crucial player in the European Union, is making an effort for the future with the upcoming China visit by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
