Deported Haitian asylum seekers from the US struggle to survive

Al Jazeera, 24 Nov 2022
Record numbers of Haitians are fleeing their country, as its humanitarian crisis deepens.
Over the past year, the US has sent back more than 7,000 asylum seekers who travelled by sea.
It has also deported more than 25,000 who came by land.
The security situation in Haiti has deteriorated significantly in the past year.
Recently Haitians have taken to the streets to protest high gas prices and a government they have little confidence in.

Al Jazeera’s Femi Oke travelled to Haiti, to find out what life is like for people sent back to a country in chaos.
