The Jakarta-Bandung high-speed rail is an important cooperation project promoted by the top leaders of China and Indonesia. The project under the Belt and Road Initiative is built with Chinese technology and equipment and set to be launched in 2023. After it is complete, Indonesia will become the first country in Southeast Asia to have a high-speed railway.
