Funeral prayers were held in southwestern Pakistan for nine policemen killed in a suicide blast on March 6, 2023. Security forces in western Pakistan have been increasingly targeted by militant groups, particularly since the Taliban returned to power in neighbouring Afghanistan in 2021.
