#MichelleYeoh’s historic win as the first Asian best actress winner ever had viewers of Asian descent shedding tears of happiness — and grinning. The “#EverythingEverywhereAllatOnce” co-stars bring the total number of Asians who have earned acting Oscars to just six in the awards' 95-year history. For many Asian Americans, the film's seven #Oscars, including Best Picture, feel like a watershed moment. For more on the Oscars "celebration of the #diversity of #cinema," FRANCE 24 is joined by Rebecca Leffler, Screen International's French Film & TV Correspondent. And for Ms. Leffler, "diversity" is all-encompassing: "For me, 'Everything Everywhere All at Once' really represents a diversity of subject matter, not just talent. It's completely creative and weird and wild and crazy and really represents cinema today!"
