Drone video shows aftermath of deadly landslide in Brazil’s Amazon

A state of emergency was declared on Monday in the Brazilian city of Manaus after a landslide caused by heavy rains killed at least eight people, local media reported.

Drone footage of the aftermath showed the destruction of homes located in a high-risk zone in the Brazilian Amazon.

"Those people were there because they had nowhere else to go," said a victim of the downpour, Edineusa Soares.
