Starmer confronts Sunak at PMQs over 'utterly broken' asylum system

Starmer also said that a similar bill had been passed before, yet the number of crossings had continued to rise and the number of claims processed to fall. 'After 13 years ... the taxpayer paying for hotel rooms, criminal gangs running all the way laughing to the bank and an asylum system utterly broken on his watch,' he said.
