White House holds press briefing, updates on object in sky shot down near Canadian border | LIVE
CA, 13 Feb 2023
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre will hold the daily news conference on Monday. She is expected to provide an update on the recent flying object shot down by the Canadian border over Lake Huron.
A U.S. fighter jet shot down an “unidentified object” over Lake Huron on Sunday on orders from President Joe Biden. It was the fourth such downing in eight days and the latest military strike in an extraordinary chain of events over U.S. airspace that Pentagon officials believe has no peacetime precedent.
Recently, there was a suspected Chinese spy balloon also shot down after it was flying in U.S. airspace. China claimed the balloon, but denied it was used for espionage.
