North Korea says over 1.4 million of its citizens have volunteered to join or re-enlist in the nation's military to fight against the United States, state media reported on March 20, 2023. Meanwhile, leader Kim Jong-un oversaw drills simulating a nuclear counter-attack against the US and South Korea in a warning to the allies who are scaling up their joint military exercises.
