Ukraine's lost children: Can Kyiv get them back? | Conflict Zone

DW, 23 Mar 2023
The Ukrainian government says at least 14,000 children have been abducted since the Russian invasion of the country. Some estimates go as high as 300,000. Ukrainian MP Ivana Klympush-Tsintsadze called for a war crimes tribunal to bring Russians who commit war crimes in Ukraine to justice. The Ukrainian MP told DW's Sarah Kelly that the recent arrest warrant for war crimes issued by the International Criminal Court against Russian President Vladimir Putin would further isolate Moscow. Klympush-Tsintsadze said the warrant would not likely be the last issued by the ICC against those carrying out war crimes under Putin's command. She also questioned a recent "peace proposal" put forward by China.
