North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has called for scaled up production of weapons-grade nuclear material to grow the country's arsenal, saying the weapons should be ready for use at any time. State media reported Kim making the remarks on March 28, 2023, as he inspected nuclear programme equipment, including new tactical nuclear weapons and technology for mounting warheads on ballistic missiles. Kim also examined nuclear counter-attack operation plans.
