World Water Day this year coincides with the start of the UN 2023 Water Conference held from March 22 to 24. With the theme of "accelerating change", World Water Day will see governments working on solutions to meet Sustainable Development Goal 6, which is clean water and sanitation for all, as part of the 2030 agenda. March 22nd also marks the beginning of China Water Week, which promotes using water sustainably, protecting our rivers and celebrating water-related laws, like the recently passed Yellow River Protection Law. What can we expect from the Water Action Agenda during this event? What are the undercurrents we are facing? How has China contributed to water resource protection?
