Nasa has revealed the first images of the impact of its Dart spacecraft as it was deliberately rammed into an asteroid on a historic mission to test Earth’s ability to defend itself against space rocks in the future. The pictures from the James Webb and Hubble telescopes released on September 29, 2022, show matter flying kilometres away from Dimorphos after Dart collided with the asteroid.
