Russian forces continue shelling near Ukrainian capital Kyiv as residents flee fighting

Russian invasion forces are approaching the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv. Dramatic footage shows the moment a Russian mortar shell hit a bridge in the town of Irpin, on the outskirts of Kyiv. The bridge was being used by people fleeing the conflict on March 6, 2022. Residents on the outskirts of the capital continued to try to leave the area after intense shelling on day 11 of Russia’s war on Ukraine. Warning: the following video contains graphic images.
