Kremlin says needed 'harsh' fake news law due to 'information war' • FRANCE 24 English

The Kremlin on Saturday defended new legislation that could see people jailed for up to 15 years for publishing "fake news" about the Russian military, saying the country was facing "an information war". FRANCE 24 spoke to Matthew Wyman, senior lecturer in Russian politics at Keele University, about Russia's decision to close its digital doors. Watch the full video here:
