With millions of people escaping the war in Ukraine, some of them are headed to Canada, and they'll need a place to stay.

Canada has already launched a new temporary residence program. Applications are now being accepted for an unlimited number of Ukrainians to come for up to three years.

Eligibility is also being extended to family members, regardless of their nationality.

Elementary and high school students can also register for school as soon as they arrive, while all application fees are being waived.

As Jayme Doll explains, some Canadians are opening their homes to welcome in refugees.
