Russia-Ukraine conflict: NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg delivers briefing after defence meeting | LIVE
CA, 15 Mar 2022
NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg is expected to hold a briefing after a defence minister's meeting on Wednesday.
Stoltenberg said ahead of an extraordinary meeting of NATO defence ministers on Tuesday that he was concerned Russia could be planning a possible "false flag" operation in Ukraine, possibly involving chemical weapons.
NATO has said it will not impose a no-fly zone over Ukraine to avoid conflict with Russia.
The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) has signalled its solidarity with Ukraine in the form of supplies, weapons, and sanctions since the early days of Russia’s latest incursion into its territory, but has not deployed troops for combat.
