Labour's Lisa Nandy says the government has not done enough consultation to make sure the resources and services are ready to receive Ukraine refugees at a local authority level.

The Shadow Levelling Up Secretary said she had been told by one council leader that there are only nine secondary school places available in that particular area.

She added that she has felt "ashamed" to see how the government has "shut the door to people needing our help".
