Russian rockets strike Kharkiv as some of Ukraine's largest cities come under siege
CA, 01 Mar 2022
Russian missile attacks hit the centre of Ukraine's second-largest city, Kharkiv, including residential areas and the regional administration building, region head Oleg Synegubov said on Tuesday, as Moscow started day six of its invasion.
The rocket strikes on Kharkiv on Tuesday killed at least 10 people and wounded 35, Ukrainian Interior Ministry adviser Anton Herashchenko said.
Russia warned Kyiv residents to flee their homes as they rained rockets down on Kharkiv. Russian commanders who have failed to achieve a quick victory appeared to be shifting their tactics to intensify the bombardment of Ukrainian cities.
