The Queen held her first face-to-face audience since her Covid scare on Wednesday, the day after Prince Andrew settled his sexual assault civil case.

The 95-year-old monarch met Major General Eldon Millar, the incoming Defence Services Secretary, and his predecessor Rear Admiral James Macleod in the Oak Room at Windsor Castle.

The Queen, who was wearing a green patterned dress, appeared on good form and stood during the audience, supported by a walking stick throughout.

It was the monarch's first in-person appearance since her Covid scare six days ago, suggesting she may have escaped the virus despite seeing the Prince of Wales two days before he tested positive.
