The UN secretary general, António Guterres, has denounced the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, for attacking Ukraine, calling it 'the saddest moment' in his more than five years in the job.
Russian forces unleashed an attack on Ukraine on the orders of Putin, who announced a 'special military operation' at dawn.
