On this week’s edition of "The West Block," host Mercedes Stephenson covers all the angles of the war in Europe.

Mercedes interviews Foreign Affairs Minister Mélanie Joly about what more could be done to punish Russia in response to President Vladimir Putin’s unprovoked invasion of Ukraine.

Plus, Canada's ambassador to the United Nations Bob Rae speaks about Russia’s full-scale attack on Ukraine.

And Mercedes also speaks with former senior director for European affairs in the Obama administration, Charles Kupchan, about what Putin’s endgame is. Why did he decide to initiate a full-scale invasion of Ukraine? And is there a risk of nuclear weapons being deployed?
