Africa Weekly: Ugandan children back to school after nearly 2-year Covid closure

This week in Africa, schools in Uganda reopen nearly two years after learning was suspended because of the coronavirus pandemic, ending the world's longest school closure; a legal battle is looming over plans to build Amazon's multi-million-dollar African headquarters on land cherished by South Africa's indigenous Khoi San people; and in Rwanda, as the number of mountain gorillas in the Volcanoes National Park increases, the great apes are struggling to find the space they need to grow and thrive. To solve the problem, Rwanda plans to expand the park, adding 23% more surface area over the next decade.
