Boulder County Sheriff Joe Pelle said Sunday that one of the people missing following the large wildfire that swept through parts of the county and Denver suburbs, has been "accounted for." He said they are in the process of trying to locate "and possibly recover" the other two that are still missing.

Pelle also spoke about the ongoing investigation into what induced the fire and said that while a cause is yet to be determined, his team would take a "careful" stance as they proceed.

He also assured that residents would have access to some more locations previously closed due to search operations by emergency officials and said that by this afternoon or early evening, some communities would likely have their power returned.

The wildfires that tore through Boulder County and Denver suburbs on Thursday burned neighbourhoods to the ground and destroying nearly 1,000 homes and other buildings.
