Relatives, friends and clergy members attended the funeral for Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu, the Nobel Peace Prize-winning equality activist who was revered in Africa for his role in ending apartheid.

Following the funeral, Tutu's ashes will be interred at the cathedral's columbarium. He died last Sunday at age 90.
