In full: Boris Johnson 'too weak to lead', claims Sir Keir Starmer during PMQs

Telegraph, 15 Dec 2021
Boris Johnson faced gruelling questions from MPs today following a massive rebellion over his Covid measures in the House of Commons yesterday.

Sir Keir Starmer says the public want a leader with trust and authority to lead us through the pandemic but "instead we are burdened with the worst possible Prime Minister at the worst possible time".

As Tory MPs jeer him he says "where were they in the lobby last night?"

He notes they "won't vote for basic public health measures" but Labour MPs have "stood up" to do so.

Boris Johnson can be seen shaking his head, as Sir Keir says he is "too weak to lead".

The Labour leader says he should use Christmas to "look in the mirror and ask himself if he has the authority to lead".

Mr Johnson says he "respects and understands" concerns that colleagues have, but the approach is balanced and proportionate.
