COVID-19: Manitoba "strongly recommends" limiting contacts amid record-setting new case count

CA, 25 Dec 2021
Health officials are pleading with Manitobans to limit their contacts over the holidays as the province is set to announce a record-setting daily case count on Christmas Eve.

Dr. Brent Roussin, Manitoba’s chief public health officer, said Friday the province will announce nearly 750 new cases later in the day.

Health Minister Audrey Gordon did say she strongly recommends Manitobans limit their close contacts over the holidays.

On Thursday, the Manitoba government said near record-setting COVID-19 case counts are likely an under-count due to a backlog in testing.
