Nearly a year since Chinese-American teenager Christian Hall was fatally shot by police in the US state of Pennsylvania on December 30, 2020, newly released video indicates he had raised his hands as state troopers opened fire. An investigative report issued by the Monroe County District Attorney’s Office in March said the use of deadly force by the officers was “justified”, but Hall’s parents are calling for an independent investigation of the shooting of the 19-year-old who had been diagnosed with depression.
