Kremlin denies Macron's claims that Russian troops won't carry out new military exercises

Russia has denied it will cease carrying out new military initiatives near the Ukrainian border. The comments came during a press conference held by Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov. Earlier, a French official had said Putin promised not to carry out new military initiatives near Ukraine. Now however, the Kremlin is saying that isn't correct. The same French official claimed Putin had also agreed that Russian troops taking part in a military exercise in Belarus would be pulled back.
