A comedian and colleague of Jimmy Carr has called on Netflix to pull a show which features Carr making a "joke" about the Holocaust and gypsies.

Kate Smurthwaite said the joke was "horrible" even when taking the context of the routine into account.

Carr - a fierce critic of cancel culture - admits during the performance the routine could be a "career ender".

The Traveller Movement has launched a petition calling on Netflix to remove the routine from Carr's show His Dark Material.
