Hundreds of truckers and Covid-19 rule protesters paralyses Canada capital

The mayor of Canada’s capital declared a state of emergency Sunday as protesters opposed to Covid-19 restrictions continued to paralyse Ottawa’s downtown. The “Freedom Convoy 2022” began as a movement against a Canadian vaccine requirement for cross-border truckers, but has turned into a rallying point against public health measures in Canada. It has also gained increasing support among Republicans, including Donald Trump
