Anger as Scottish club signs rapist footballer David Goodwillie
Sky, 02 Feb 2022
There has been criticism of the decision by Raith Rovers to buy David Goodwillie, who was ruled by a civil court of being a rapist.
The Scottish club said the striker was a "proven goal scorer" and it was a "great signing for the club".
But Scotland's First Minister Nicola Sturgeon attacked the decision and in this interview, Judy Hamilton of the Raith Rovers Community Foundation said the signing sent the wrong message to women and girls.
Goodwillie was ruled to be a rapist and ordered to pay damages in a civil case in 2017 - there was not enough evidence to prosecute in a criminal court.
