Ukrainian people living in towns on the eastern border with Russia have seen their region become littered with the scars of fighting since 2014 - with many now staying in their homes because of fears of an invasion.

Army trucks and armoured vehicles crunch through the snow and ice-covered roads where people are still holding out, even though the frontlines are just a short distance away.
