Several hundred pro-Catalan independence activists demonstrate in front of the Italian consulate in Barcelona to denounce the arrest of Carlos Puigdemont. The pro-independence MEP and former Catalan president was arrested in Sardinia and is awaiting a hearing which will decide his potential extradition to Spain, where he is still being prosecuted for his role in the 2017 secession attempt.
