US Secretary Blinken chairs UN Security Council meeting on food security | LIVE

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken is expected to chair a UN Security Council meeting to discuss global food security on Wednesday.

Blinken met with senior officials from 10 countries in Africa and with the foreign ministers of Pakistan and Turkey while in New York for the UN Security Council meeting.

On May 19, Blinken will chair a meeting of the Security Council that will feature "an open debate focusing on the critical links between conflict and food security."
