U.S. President Joe Biden is set to deliver remarks on Tuesday regarding security assistance the country is providing to Ukraine as Russia's invasion of the eastern European nation continues.

The president will make the comments during a visit to a Javelin missile factory in Alabama, which produces weapons being used by Ukraine to combat Russia.

On Tuesday, Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin told a group of senators that Ukrainian troops were putting howitzers and drones supplied by Western allies, including the U.S., "to very good use."

However, Russia's self-proclaimed "special operation" continues well into its third month with troops having shelled and bombed the Azovstal steel plant in Ukraine’s southern port city of Mariupol, where the city's mayor says more than 200 civilians remain trapped.
