Local police have confirmed at least five people have died in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Wednesday from an active shooter situation at Saint Francis’ Natalie Medical Building, including the shooter.

According to a Tulsa police officer who was inside the building, the shooting happened on a lower floor and the victims appeared to be dressed as a doctor and nurses, though their official titles are not known at this time. The shooter died by suicide, according to authorities.

Earlier Wednesday afternoon, police responded to a call about a man armed with a rifle in the building. This call then turned into an active shooter situation.

Police said officers are going through every room in the building to check for additional threats and that the reunification area for families is at Memorial High School.

The White House says President Biden has been briefed on the shooting and "is closely monitoring the situation and has reached out to state and local officials to offer support.”
